Leonart, of atypical low-displacement customs, offers its Daytona 125 model in two special versions in cream or black. Available in a limited edition of € 4,799 (or 300 euros extra), these 2014 vintages highlight the flowing lines of the little Spanish custom, especially in its "vintage" cream livery with brown saddle and handles..
Small engine, big impression !
The technical specifications of the Daytona 125 know for their part no change, nor its silhouette and its peripherals worthy of a custom of higher displacement. Take for example a look at the double front petal disc of 300 mm clamped by double piston calipers, a device which should have no difficulty in stopping the 140 kg dry of the machine.
The 48 mm fork (!) And the large rims (21 at the front, 16 at the rear) also maintain the illusion, unlike the small water-cooled 4-stroke box that betrays its small size the displacement of this motorcycle with a visually neat finish.
A time entrusted to a Chinese manufacturer, the propulsion is now provided by a single cylinder with double ACT of 125 cc developing 15 hp at 9,500 rpm supplied by the Italian group Piaggio, while the tubular steel frame (with hidden suspension at the above the lower uprights) is manufactured by a Spanish supplier.
Proudly claiming its "Made in Europe" status, this motorcycle is also available in a more "beefy" version, powered by a Honda 350 cc parallel twin cylinder manufactured under license in China..
This larger displacement Daytona is built "on demand" explains us, which since May has been distributing the Leonart brand in France, in addition to Taiwanese PGO scooters and buggies. The brand also announces the imminent arrival of the Pilder (below), a motorcycle visibly modeled on the Daytona but whose more closed fork angle and truncated rear part suggest a more dynamic positioning..
