New Triumph Thruxton 900
On the occasion of the Paris Motor Show, Triumph is making a new comeback with the Thruxton 2004. A stripped-down cafe racer from a racing version of the Bonneville T120R in 1969, which will be available in the spring for 8,990 euros..
Like its 1969 big sister, the 2004 Triumph Thruxton takes its name from a small circuit located in Hampshire, England. It is indeed on this track that the Bonneville T120R Thruxton grabbed the first three places in the Thruxton 500, an 800 km endurance race, before being regularly used for wild runs..
The Bonneville’s air-cooled 790cc twin has been upgraded to 865cc. The engine, boosted by new camshafts, new carburetors and new megaphone-style mufflers, now delivers 70 hp at 7,250 rpm and its maximum torque is 72 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Note the checkered saddle cover, very cafe racer, and the remote bracelets.
