Motocross KTM SX (2-stroke) and SX-F (4-stroke): what changes in 2015
Main changes observed for 2015, common to the SX 2-stroke and SX-F 4-stroke: the lightening of the chassis thanks to a redesigned frame and a lighter rod and final transmission crown. The manufacturer of Mattighofen took the opportunity to review the swingarm mounts and the sagging curve of the rear suspension, in order to improve its progressiveness..
At the front, new fork legs, a thinner wheel axle and lighter steering column screws also contribute to this search for weight loss, while giving the orange motocross "a better feeling at the level of the train before ", assures KTM.
Mechanically, the modifications are mainly concentrated around the clutch, revised for more lightness and efficiency on the 250, 350 and 450 SX-F 4-stroke and the 250 SX 2-stroke. New O-rings on the oil pump strainer are also appearing on the SX-F.
The look of the whole range gains in dynamism thanks to the orange tint applied to the frame, as on the motocross of the official team in MXGP, and to the very beautiful black anodized Excel installed as standard. New fork guards, two-component grips and recent Dunlop MX52 tires complete changes to the 2015 KTM SX and SX-F.
As for the 50 SX, 65 SX and 85 SX mini-motorcycles, KTM ensures that its entire range reserved for kids receives "new modifications which reinforce the high quality parts already present". The Austrian manufacturer does not reveal the details of these modifications, which are visually difficult to detect…

KTM EXC (2-stroke) and EXC-F (4-stroke) enduro motorcycles: what changes in 2015
With an exceptional season in all categories (titles in E1, E2, EnduroCross, SuperEnduro, victory in ISDE and several medals at the X Games), the range of KTM enduro motorcycles literally crushes the competition, both in the field of sport than that of business since the Austrians claim to hold "50% of the world enduro market".
However, the engineers of Mattighofen are not resting on their laurels – however numerous they are -, because if today the enduro is very "orange", it is obviously not to the taste of the competition … who fills his arms accordingly !
In terms of changes common to the entire EXC range (2 and 4-stroke), we note the arrival of a new MAE brand speedometer, announced "more readable". The French Neken supplies a conical black aluminum handlebar, at the ends of which appear "more efficient" hand guards and softer grips..
Hitherto faithful to Excel for the supply of rims, KTM changed its tune in 2015 and is now turning to the Taiwanese Giant, one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world. Maxxis tires surround these rims called "7050 T6". Finally, the tubular chrome-molybdenum frame of the EXC receives an orange treatment, as on the motorcycles of the official KTM team..
On the 2-stroke, the fully adjustable shock absorber of the 125 and 200 EXC adopts a new O-ring, while a new carburetor adjustment would ensure on the whole 2-stroke range "an improved, more homogeneous power deployment", ensure engine manufacturers.
On the 250 and 300 EXC only, the exhaust valve also opens at higher revs (+200 rpm), again with the aim of improving the way power is delivered. A new ignition curve has been defined on these two motorcycles to adapt to their new characteristics..
Finally, the 250 and 300 EXC receive new gaskets on their ignition and clutch housings to improve their tightness, while the intermediate gear ratio of the electric starter has been shortened to improve its operation..
On the 4-stroke, the evolutions are more measured with as main change the adoption of a redesigned clutch housing, lighter and more reliable on all EXC-F models. The silencer adopts for its part a perforated tube which would reduce the noise level without impairing performance (a little over 45 hp all the same for the mono of the "three and a half"!)
Finally, the 250 EXC-F adopts a new staging of its six-speed gearbox, with a shortened 4th, 5th and 6th gear. The final transmission evolves accordingly to adapt to this redesigned box that KTM announces "precise and easy".
The entire EXC enduro range is already available in the and the price of each model is presented below.
Finally, like every year, KTM made a very nice presentation video with notably "trialising" borderline passages on rocks with the nervous 250 EXC 2-stroke: to savor – without moderation but with admiration !
