The laboratory of the Swabian cleaning experts at Karcher was once again the scene of a product test. In the tried and tested manner, laboratory manager and BMW R 1200 GS driver Frank Ritscher personally took care of the test samples that were bought on the market. The colleagues from the MOTORRAD sister journal auto motor und sport provided active support. Small pieces of carpet wetted with cigarette ash (medium odor) and butyric acid extract (strong odor) served as stinkers. In addition to Ritscher, two other testers assessed the immediate effect of the odor killers. The pieces of carpet were then enclosed in containers and sniffed again after 14 hours. The pieces of carpet were then aired for a few hours for the long-term test. The test was concluded by measuring the pH value and checking the labels.
