A day at the 2007 World Cup on the Site stand
Le Journal moto du net saw the big picture for this 2007 edition of the Mondial du deux-Roues, with the first Cyberc @ fe of the show! Hence the mobilization of the entire Site team for this great biker meeting… Atmosphere !
For this edition of the 2007 Mondial du deux-Roues, Site – which has now passed the age of reason with its 8 years of existence! – organized the first Cyberc @ fe of the show: free internet connection for visitors and exhibitors wishing to surf the web, read their emails, download their photos, update their blog, etc..

With a stand, a real one: light, an orange carpet, super bikes kindly lent by our partners and friends (the Suzuki GSX-R 750 n ° 71 Dream Cup by Sandrine Martin, the new black and orange Harley-Davidson Nightster and the Ducati Site Bike Avenue n ° 8 by Marc Troussard for the Dark Dog Tour), signs of madness, a great visual hanged 6 meters high, a large free competition game with lots of prizes to be won (including three years of AMV insurance, Peg Perego electric motorcycles for children, a Triumph leather suit, etc.), an exhibition of the magnificent photos of Eric Malherbe (Libre Latitude), three chat sessions per day with the most prestigious guests than others to respond directly to our readers, etc..

9:00 am: Still in pole position, the big boss came first on the stand. Anyway, he’s the one who has the keys! Then the rest of the team rushes in to install the computers, prepare the cybercafe – before the coffee itself! -, convince the recalcitrant computers that it will be necessary to go there … And all this without getting upset !
For coffee, essential because waking up are difficult and the days long, it will however be necessary to wait a little longer because Porte de Versailles, the electricity fairy does not show up before 9:30 … The traffic jams, no doubt.
9:30 am: Uploading of the last articles laid overnight, assignment of subjects to the editorial team: the editorial staff is reduced to a minimum for the duration of the Show, concise, precise and effective !
Because the motorcycle world – the deceitful! – does not stop turning during the World Cup: Superbike, MotoGP, preparation of the Dark Dog Tour … Too bad for the rest of the team, but after the recent live coverage of the Bol d’Or for 24 hours non-stop (read in particular), the staff is still very hot !
10:00 am: Doors opening and atmosphere at the start of the 24 hours of Le Mans, precisely !

11:00 : The time of the first chat of the day. It is Jean-Luc Mars, CEO of Harley-Davidson France, who inaugurates our long list of guests and throws himself on Saturday morning, the first day open to the public, in the big bath – unprecedented – of the live discussion with our readers! No problem: the legendary vibrations go well by interposed keyboard !
Like him, all the representatives and big bosses of the other brands came to chat live with you on the Site stand (read all the discussions in our). Like him, all of our successive guests seem to have particularly enjoyed this moment of informal exchange with you … And like him, most of our guests spontaneously left their mouths out of the stand: that they be sincerely thanked. .. The others will recognize themselves 🙂

13h00: Lunch break. Yes, you have to eat well! Ham and butter and a glass of red wine tasted in the VIP area of the Site booth, because those who are still wrapping up their articles in the newsroom only moderately appreciate the crumbs of crisps on their laptops…
To tell the truth, our lunch break is spread between 12:30 p.m. and … 6 p.m., because visitors tend not to take theirs simultaneously !
Meanwhile Camille, our royal hostess whom the whole living room envies us – always fresh, smiling and competent! -, sell Site T-shirts, tool sets, control tires and other adventure knives! Sometimes it is necessary to (politely!) Dismiss a stranger who asks her what time she finishes: "too late for you !". And what’s more, it’s true…

2:00 p.m .: Second chat of the day in the middle of the crowded internet cafe. Not even the time to go out to burn one! We are well at Site, beer and peanuts are flowing freely! (By the way, thinking about buying more chocolate, we saw a fair bit!).

6:00 p.m .: Last chat of the day, finally! Barely had time to write, reread, correct and publish the articles of the day … The chief editor again skipped the lunch sandwich. No night this evening, that would set the mood … Come on, we fold, we unplug, we tidy up and everything quickly because the electricity fairy officiates until 8:30 p.m. and not a minute more – time to catch his RER, no doubt. Suffice to say that the vacuum cleaner does not dawdle! A last drink before leaving? Thank you, we saw each other enough for today. We will celebrate later !
