Triumph strengthens its 2019 Street Twin and Street Scrambler
Good surprise at the 2018 Paris Motor Show: Triumph reveals an improved version of its Street Twin and its Street Scrambler variant. The 900cc "little" Bonnie gains 10 horsepower and additional equipment.
Street Twin 2019
These changes come only two years after its, marked by its discreet adoption of liquid cooling on the in-line twin. This rapid evolution reflects a position at the very least reactive – even aggressive – of Triumph in the "retro" segment. !

First point improved: the performance of the parallel twin set at 270 °, up by ten horsepower (65 hp against 55 in 2018). This gain of 18% is obtained thanks to the lightening of certain moving parts, including the crankshaft and the balance shaft..
The injection is also fine-tuned while the maximum speed is raised from 500 rpm to 7500 rpm. The Bonnie would gain in temperament without losing its appreciated roundness, as pointed out by Jean-Luc Marc, CEO of Triumph France. Its torque remains fixed at 80 Nm, a very satisfactory value because it is obtained from 3200 rpm !
Retro but modern, the Street also releases two standard driving modes (Rain and Road) which intervene on the response of the electronic accelerator and the sensitivity of the traction control. This traction control can be deactivated, as in 2018, on this 198 kg dry motorcycle.
The 2019 Street Twin also strengthens its front end with an improved 41mm fork. In addition, a new Brembo 4-piston brake caliper now clamps the 310mm disc. Its comfort improves thanks to a thicker saddle (+ 10 mm) and a position of the legs described as "more pleasant".
Finally, the attention to detail – already very neat on this bike – is further enhanced by a new logo, a redesigned instrumentation casing or brushed aluminum headlight brackets. And always these beautiful polished fins and this injection cleverly stashed under a dummy carburetor body !
Street Scrambler 2019
All these evolutions are transposed as they are on the Street Scrambler, which as its name suggests explores a more "down to earth" approach with its Metzeler Tourance tires, its silencers in high position, its wide raised handlebars and its spoked front wheel. 19 inch.
Described by Triumph as "one of the most beautiful motorcycles in the world" (no less ?!), the Street Scrambler adopts a new number plate, a new saddle finish and a raised front fender. Its engine, identical to the Street Twin, also displays 65 hp and 80 Nm.

Enough to allow the "Street" to better stand up to, the new twin-cylinder or even the! Triumph also emphasizes the possibilities of customizing its motorcycles, stating that "more than 90% of Street Twins sold to date have been fitted with accessories".
