Frame kit for Panigale V2 engines

The Italian frame builder Pierobon is showing his latest project at EICMA in Milan. A space frame kit for the V2 engines of the Ducati Panigale models was created under the code X85R.

Pierobon has been welding frames for motorcycles for 65 years. The now launched X85R frame kit for circuit use is designed in such a way that it can take all V2 engines from the D.ucati Panigale models 899/959/1199/1299. The kit includes the main frame, the airbox with air ducts, the rear frame, footrests and holders for the electronic components.

The main frame is based on a tubular space frame made of 28 mm thick steel tubes above the engine, which also houses the steering head. From the rear cylinder head, the Italians rely on screwed-on aluminum side plates that also hold the swing arm bearings.

The single-sided swing arm itself is taken over by the donor motorcycle. Alternatively, stiffer special versions or two-arm swing arms made of aluminum can be installed. The same applies to the tank – the original or a version enlarged by 2 liters.

As a further option for the series or corresponding retrofit fairings in the original form, Pierobon offers side winglets in MotoGP style made of carbon.

Pierobon has not yet given any prices for the kit.
