Question of guilt – blinking without turning

What happens if you blink at an intersection without actually turning and there is an accident? In such a case, who is to blame for the accident??

If you blink at an intersection without actually turning, you can be part of an accident – even if you have the right of way. The Traffic Law Working Group of the German Lawyers’ Association (DAV) currently provides information on this decision by the Oberndorf District Court, Baden-Wurttemberg, from April 21, 2016 (AZ: 2 C 434/15). However, the person subject to waiting is predominantly liable. Just because of a set indicator, so it was said in the judgment, one should not trust that the other vehicle will actually turn.
