The B-King, the streetbike of the future? By presenting its new concept bike for the first time this week in Tokyo, Suzuki risks stealing the show from the e-NSR, Honda’s new electric and removable motorcycle….

The Tokyo Motor Show, which will be held from October 27 to November 7, is traditionally the place of choice for motorcycle manufacturers to present their "concept bikes". Suzuki will open fire this year with its B-King (photo), a street bike equipped with the most powerful engine in motorcycle history (the 1300 cc of the Hayabusa boosted to more than 200 hp) and packed with electronic. In addition to the inevitable GPS navigation system, the B-King is notably equipped with an original starting system: no need for a key anymore, because a sensor analyzes your fingerprints and only turns on the ignition if they correspond to those of the owner. In the event of an attempted theft, the B-King immediately dials your mobile number and puts you in contact with the thief, thanks to the microphone and speakers located on the dashboard. Still using your phone, you can sound the horn and turn signals to attract attention, while the bike’s microphone will pick up any sound clues that can help police identify thieves. And of course, the B-King has internet access to send and read your emails, or receive the latest weather information … The rest of the bike, with the exception of the 240 rear tire, remains fairly conventional ( the alloy frame is close to that of the CBR), which makes the British newspaper say Motorcycle News that a marketable version of the B-King could go into production soon. At Honda, the hour is electric: the world’s leading manufacturer will present in Tokyo several prototypes of foldable electric two-wheelers (Riding Cart, e-Dax, Mobi Moba), including the e-NSR, an astonishing machine with the look of sports car (photo) that you can store in the trunk of your car … Honda has not yet disclosed the technical characteristics of the machine. But according to Motorcycle News, The e-NSR would be driven by two electric motors (one on each wheel), which would make it possible to gain power by using them simultaneously, or on the contrary to favor battery autonomy by connecting only one. Recall that these prototypes are not intended for production – fortunately who said? -, but that they make it possible to gauge the public’s interest in them, and possibly to think about a marketable version…
