Updates and new face

At INTERMOT in Cologne, KTM unveiled a tightened and stronger version of the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT for the 2019 season, as well as a visually refreshed KTM 1290 Super Duke R..

The KTM Super Duke GT gets more power for the new model year. With revised resonators, intake valves made of titanium and a new mapping, the output of the 75-degree V2 increases to 175 hp and 141 Nm torque. In addition, the electronics package has been expanded to include a new ‘Track‘ mode.

There are also innovations in the cockpit of the revised GT. The adjustment of the windscreen has been modified, the switch for the cruise control system is now also located on the left end of the handlebar.

The new Super Duke GT can be recognized by its new face. The newly designed front includes a new LED headlight. Six forward-facing LEDs are attached to the central aluminum heat sink, while additional LEDs form a daytime running light. There is also an LED cornering light installed in the tank panel.

The semi-active chassis, which is now supposed to respond even more sensitively to changed driving conditions, has also been refreshed. The preload of the GT can – depending on the load – be adjusted at the push of a button. The damping can also be adjusted with one finger: the Comfort, Street and Sport modes are also available.

The KTM Super Duke GT is available in model year 2019 in white and black. The base price for the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT is 18,999 euros. The Super Duke R is priced in at 17,099 euros.

The graphics for the beast

The changes to the KTM Super Duke R are manageable for the 2019 model year. New for 2019 are two graphic kits – in black or white – which are supposed to showcase the “Beast” even better.
