After S1 and S2, Gogoro is introducing its third electric scooter, the Viva.
Gogoro

It is smaller than the previous Gogoro scooters and should run at a top speed of 50 km / h.

It will be available in four colors.

It will be launched in Taiwan in October 2019 for around US $ 1,800 (excluding the battery).
Gogoro
5/17
In 2020 it should be ready. In which market Gogoro will then start has not yet been communicated.
Gogoro
6/17
In Taiwan, Gogoro drivers pay between 10 and 30 US dollars per month and swap the empty battery for a full one at one of the 1,400 battery stations.
Gogoro
7/17
Since such an infar structure does not (yet) exist in this country, it stands to reason that Gogoro sells his electric scooters with us including batteries and charger.
Gogoro
8/17
The batteries are removable, which is unbeatable in terms of practicality, since in cities only very few residents have a garage (with electricity).
Gogoro

The hub motor of the Gogoro Viva sits in the rear wheel and should provide 3 KW (4 PS).

The manufacturer names the colored plastic "Carefree color". There should be no unsightly scratches with this plastic.

The storage compartment of the Gogoro Viva should offer 21.6 liters of storage space – also space for a helmet.
Gogoro

All information and functions of the electric scooter should be able to be called up and controlled via the app and connected smartphone.

The manufacturer has lots of accessories for the Gogoro Viva in its range.

There should be over 100 parts that are available for customization and adaptation.

We are excited to see when the Gogoro electric scooters will finally hit the German market.
New electric scooter Gogoro Viva
Expansion planned for 2020
Electric scooter fans have been looking at Gogoro vehicles for a long time. So far, the Taiwanese manufacturer has limited itself to the domestic market, which is set to change soon.
D.he manufacturer Gogoro, which is extremely successful in Taiwan, is presenting its latest electric scooter, the Viva. The manufacturer’s third scooter will also mark one of the last preparatory steps for expansion. Expansion where? “Global” says Gogoro. The key data make it particularly attractive for European city dwellers.
Gogoro Viva without a motorcycle license
While the previous electric scooters from Gogoro reach speeds of over 80 km / h and can carry two batteries, the new Gogoro Viva is designed to be smaller and offers space for one battery. The hub motor built into the rear wheel should provide 3 kW (4 hp) of power. According to the manufacturer, a range of around 80 kilometers is possible. The Gogoro Viva (without battery) should weigh 80 kilograms and offer a respectable 21.6 liters of storage space in the helmet compartment. Deceleration is achieved with combined disc brakes without ABS, which is sufficient for the European market for scooters under 125 cm³. Since the Gogoro Viva is designed for a top speed of 50 km / h, that should fit. A motorcycle license would also not be necessary, as the electric scooter would most likely fall into vehicle class L1e.
Gogoro
Price and Gogoro Sales Concept
The Taiwanese manufacturer specifies the MSRP at 2,000 US dollars – excluding additional costs and battery. In Taiwan, the Gogoro drivers pay a monthly fee (10-30 US dollars) for the batteries, which can easily be exchanged for full energy storage if required. In Taiwan, however, there are also over 1,400 battery exchange stations available. According to the manufacturer, 125,000 battery changes take place daily. That would be almost two a second. In Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, alone, drivers are never more than a kilometer from a Gogoro battery swap station.
Gogoro
What the concept for the European market will look like, Gogoro has not yet said anything concrete. Since we do not (yet) have the infrastructure for the charging and changing stations for the batteries, it stands to reason that the Taiwanese manufacturer offers the complete package for sale from us – i.e. the electric scooter with battery. Many electric scooter drivers would certainly appreciate the advantage of the removable battery.
The Gogoro Viva rolls on ten-inch wheels, LED lights shine all around, the seat height of 74 centimeters is also suitable for people with short legs. It is not locked and unlocked with a key, but with a key card and touch. Electric fans also know that from Tesla. Additional information: Gogoro has more than 500 MWh of energy storage in the battery exchange network in Taiwan. For Tesla’s largest battery power pack (in Australia) we are talking about 129 MWh.
Colors and availability
The Gogoro Viva will be available in the color variants Pomegranate Red, Lime Gray, Wasabi Yellow, Mint Blue and Seasalt White. You can also choose from over 100 accessories such as mobile phone holders, luggage racks, grab bars and much more. The new electric scooter will be launched on the Taiwanese market in October, and in 2020 the Gogoro scooters will begin their “overseas journey”, according to the manufacturer.
