Yamaha XSR 900 Age (2018)
Dab Motors yard built project
The Yamaha XSR 900 Age of Dab Motors is another model from the Yamaha Yard-Built program. She wants to combine futuristic design and retro charm.
D.ab Motors, based in Biarritz, France, developed the lines of the Alter almost completely digitally with 3D models. Many of them were then implemented using 3D printing. Among other things, the one-man rear frame, the upper triple clamp, the risers and the headlight brackets were created in this process.
Lining made of flax fibers
The under-engine exhaust was developed together with IXIL. Handlebars, grips and brake fluid reservoirs come from the Rizoma range of accessories. The cladding, which is laminated from flax fibers and equipped with an LED light element, is particularly original. The front mask extends along the left side of the entire fork leg. The tank and the seat frame were also made in this style.
The brake calipers, which are attached radially at the front, are contributed by Brembo, the noble spring elements, a cartridge insert for the fork at the front and a complete spring strut at the rear come from the Ohlins shelf. When it comes to wheels, the old age relies on carbon rims from Rotobox. Last but not least, the ignition was also converted to a keyless system. A multifunction display is located in the front of the tank.
