The shock absorber can break
The shock absorber of the 2016 and 2017 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro can break. Ducati is recalling the affected machines.
Because the lower mount of the semi-active Sachs shock absorber can break during off-road use, 4,136 D.ucati Multistrada 1200 Enduros to replace the component in the workshop. This worldwide recall started in the USA in May 2017. In Germany, according to ADAC, the campaign has only been in motion since June 5, 2017.

357 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro in Germany
In Germany, 357 owners of the affected Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro from the years of construction 2016 and 2017 (chassis numbers ZDMAA03AAGB010850 to ZDMAA03AAHB021085) are currently being informed in writing by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). During a one-day workshop visit, the suspension struts are swapped and replaced with new ones with a reinforced mount.
The suspension strut is connected to the swing arm via the lower mount. Breaking it is very likely to result in loss of control of the motorcycle and possible fall.
