for Manoel Delaval

"For this second meeting of the French Rally Championship, the objective was clear: to take big points and not to make mistakes. !", explains Thierry Boyer, team manager of the Central Team and responsible for the two (71).

The contract is therefore "200% full for Mano, who was able to stay calm at the start of the event to attack afterwards, despite the difficult conditions in the rain". With two scratch times on the six specials, consistency has largely rewarded the official Buell Central Team who has always been very well placed. On the Bugatti circuit, faced with overpowered sportswomen, Mano even manages to keep in touch. leaders! He therefore takes the lead of the French championship by accumulating the victory by day and by night, with of course a superb final victory in the scratch classification on his Buell XB12 !

In the end, day and night together, we find Mano winner of this 52nd edition of the Sarthe ahead of Thomas Garcin and Nick Ayrton, and an identical podium in Topsport (at La Sarthe, it’s a bit normal: Bugattiiiiiiii!)

Among the Monos, Nicolas Derrien takes the lead in the standings behind 13 Topsports (!) And ahead of two drivers from the now famous Team Site: the unmistakable Pierre Mouneu proud of his colors and Thierry Canazzi, 18th and 21st respectively in the scratch.

On the side-car side, the Laur / Ferrieu team won the pompom ahead of Guillet / Chanal and Lebert / Jeandemange.

In Sport, we find Charles Guillot of GMT CMPN on Kawasaki 650 ER6 ahead of John Comoglio (Suzuki 650 SV) and Patrick Cosnuau (Kawasaki 650 ER6).

In the Classics, we find in the lead and in the 63rd position of General Renaud Fanon on his Honda 600 XLM (former French champion in the category!) Ahead of Pierre Secondo (Kawasaki 1000) and Dominique Wils (Honda 600 XLR).

Still in Classics, the "Old" sub-category for machines produced between 1956 and 1978 saw Pierre Secondo win with his Kawasaki 1000 Godier Genoud, ahead of Daniel Orriols on his Yamaha 650 XS and Guy Marchand on the handlebars of his inseparable Honda 750 Oven !

So ends this magnificent event: a big congratulations to ASM ACO who once again managed to organize a superb race and to all the volunteers without whom all this happiness would not exist. !

Manoel Delaval is therefore the new leader of the championship, Maximus being relegated to third place in the provisional following his fault … The fight promises to be particularly tight this year: meet in Corsica on April 24 for the rest of the adventures. .. Stay connected !
