2018 Honda CB125R and CB300R: one CB can hide two others…
The new Honda CB1000R is not the only roadster to parade on the podiums of the EICMA in Milan (Italy): the new CB125R and CB300R are unveiled at its side, claiming like it an interesting neo-sporting positioning. Presentation.
They are crisp, these new CB125R and CB300R! Like the one from which they are inspired, these little roadsters mix quite skilfully modern and vintage with their round headlight, their polished radiator scoops or their very refined rear part which also accommodates "the finest optics ever mounted on a Honda ".

Their engine – a water-cooled single cylinder – comes from the sports cars and CBR300R. On the CB125R, this single camshaft block develops 13.3 hp and 10 Nm of torque while the CB300R claims 31.4 hp and 27.5 Nm.
One motorcycle for A1 licenses, the other for A2 licenses: two perfect competitors for the, Duke 300, and !
Their details are meticulous with among others an aviation-type gas hatch, an engine guard, "petal" discs, a worked swinging arm, aluminum handlebars, fully LED lighting or even digital instrumentation with speed, engine speed, fuel level and gear engaged.
Damn well gaul these little Honda, especially the CB125R with its nice little pot under the engine !
The cycle part also shows particular care with a steel trellis frame connected to stamped plates, a 41 mm inverted fork (not adjustable) and a mono-shock absorber adjustable in preload. Braking is entrusted to a rewarding Nissin 4-piston caliper with radial mounting..
Better still: the standard ABS is informed by a sophisticated inertial unit (IMU), which determines "a precise distribution of the braking force applied between the front and the rear to avoid blockings". This sophisticated system, unprecedented in these categories, is in a way the sophisticated descendant of the good old Honda CBS combined braking system. !
The price of these 125.8 kg and 143 kg motorcycles is not yet known, but Honda France is planning a dealership arrival in February 2018 for the CB125R and in May 2018 for the CB300R..
