The Wave V 3 Neck jacket, which is equipped with protectors on the elbows, shoulders and back and offers a special feature of a neck protection consisting of several plastic segments, promises complete protection for the upper body. As a wearer, you can only feel it for the first few meters and only when you bend your head back completely. The protector shirt has several width adjustments and is pleasantly comfortable to wear under generously cut cross shirts or jackets without restricting freedom of movement when off-roading.
Due to the bulky Velcro straps on the arms, however, it gets tight under tightly cut jackets. The protective function and fixation of the protectors of the Wave V 3 Neck were convincing all along the line while driving ?? likewise the processing.

With a price of 479 euros, the VX-3 is one of the more expensive off-road helmets on the market. In return, it offers high-quality workmanship, a perfect fit, a large field of vision and clearly noticeable head and chin part ventilation. There is enough space for a pair of cross goggles, and together with the removable nose spoiler, the driver’s face is optimally protected from stone chips and blown dirt particles. Two test drivers convinced the wearing behavior with high comfort ?? I especially like the pressure point-free fit. The only real drawback: the VX-3 weighs 1514 grams (MOTORCYCLE measurement in size L) ?? it was clearly too difficult for ambitious sports.

Conclusion: great cross helmet that convinces in every respect except for its high weight

With its integrated, three-liter hydration bladder, the Glacier backpack from Source is ideal for sweaty motorcycle adventures. The complete insulation of the hydration bladder and tube, which runs through the shoulder strap, keeps liquids either warm in icy outside temperatures or cool in desert climates. According to the manufacturer, the many different sized compartments offer around 25 liters of storage space. In practice, this turned out to be absolutely sufficient for long day trips. In addition, the backpack is characterized by an excellent carrying behavior with great fixation thanks to adjustable straps, chest and waist belt as well as the good workmanship with robust zippers. Unusual: the large storage compartment faces the back and is only accessible when the backpack is removed. And although the glacier turned out to be waterproof when driving briefly in the rain, a rain cover would be desirable.

Oxtar boots TCX Pro 2

They made a brilliant impression Oxtar TCX Pro 2. The stable off-road pedal can be perfectly fixed with four finely adjustable and snap-in buckles. Despite their robust appearance, they are astonishingly mobile from the first meter and are very comfortable to wear. Even short walks on foot did not cause any pressure points on any of the testers. This may partly be due to the removable, ankle-high inner shoes, which are quite suitable as slippers. Maybe they are the reason that the Oxtar needs a size bigger than usual. The solid shed sole ensures a secure and pressure-free hold on the notches and lots of plastic protectors for the best all-round protection. Considering the quality, the price of 350 euros is reasonable.

Conclusion: Top enduro boots for tough off-road use, which are characterized by their great wearing behavior and high protection

The Ride2 jacket and the Ride pants from the American manufacturer had to cover a good 1000 off-road kilometers Thor prove. Since the suit is used as cross clothing, it does not have any protectors? Protector shirts, knee pads and the like are simply put on separately underneath.

The Xtrafit gloves made of a leather-textile mix, equipped with a high-quality Gore-Tex membrane and hard shell ankle protectors, are among the models that want to be registered for a few hours. At first, the finger cots seem quite stiff and immobile. But after a certain period of time, they convey a pleasant and secure feeling. The fit and workmanship is great. Even with heavy downpours, those used in daily use lasted for months Rukka absolutely tight. And thanks to robust Velcro straps on the wrist and cuff, they always offer a firm hold. At 139 euros, however, they are not a bargain.
