Kawasaki Ninja H2 and H2 Carbon 2017: first information
Kawasaki presents at the Intermot show in Cologne the Euro4 version of its supercharged H2 bomb and an unprecedented H2 Carbon, limited to 120 copies worldwide. Both receive a more advanced shock absorber (Ohlins TTX 36) and an inertial unit.
Despite modifications to the exhaust and the injection to meet the new antipollution standards, the 4-cylinder engine retains its power of 200 hp. Unlike a classic "4-legged", this one is distributed in an incredibly lively and muscular way thanks to its compressor, as we saw in our. Inertia and linearity? The block of the Ninja H2 does not know !
This exceptional engine receives for 2017 the reinforcement of a Bosch inertial unit (IMU), which continuously measures the position of the motorcycle along six axes: longitudinal acceleration, vertical and transverse axes as well as roll and pitch. . After analyzing these parameters, this electronic brain then optimizes the actions of the various piloting aids such as ABS, traction control and anti-nose-up. By the way, this tool allows the display of the angle taking on the dashboard, as on the: nice … and a little push-to-crime !
The new limited series H2 Carbon – with number plate up to 120 on the compressor – adds to this endowment a shifter operating in both directions (only when upshifting on the standard) and a carbon fairing nose. Its matt mirror-effect paint and its bright green trellis frame also refer to the H2R, an unapproved version capable of reaching 326 hp dynamically. !
