Thing promised, thing due: Norton takes advantage of "his" national motorcycle show, the "Motorcycle Live" from November 19 to 27 in Birmingham (England), to present the two versions of his brand new (top) model…
As expected, the fully homemade 1200 cc V-4 sits at the heart of two motorcycles. The first, called V4 SS, was unveiled this summer on the net in the form of a sketch. It did not take long to win over fans of the brand and / or sports fans. !
This first batch has already found a taker thanks to its captivating engine, its magnificent chassis which is also entirely and proudly "home made", its precious peripherals … and despite a price of 44,000 pounds, or "a little less than 49,000 euros" , calculated MNC at the time (mid-October!) and nearly 52,000 euros today after Brexit…
"The 200 copies of the limited edition V4 SS are now all sold, we are launching 250 models of the V4 RR", indicated the firm of Castle Donington just two weeks after the broadcast of a first promotional clip where we could partially see – and hear – the beautiful beast (see the second video, including the interview with the big boss Stuart Garner).
"Deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2017-2018", adds Norton of his second road "Superb bike", developed from (with an Aprilia V4). The small brand also confirms the high price of its luxury product "in the United Kingdom £ 28k (or around € 33,000, editor’s note). Reservations are in progress, please connect to to register", suggests the manufacturer.
On the following page, future customers will also be able to discover the never-before-seen Norton hypersport, which reveals the ultimate secrets of the unique English Superbike. But what does Triumph do? He sells Bonneville and Thruxton, "of course" !
