The Inazuma is making a comeback in a surprising displacement. It was in 250 that the roadster returned to point the tip of its headlight at Suzuki. Around the 2000s, this name adorned two models, the GSX 750 and the 1200, typical retro roadsters. This genre, which has almost disappeared today, is only illustrated by the Yamaha XJR 1300 and Honda CB 1100. This Inazuma takes it back ?
Absolutely not ! Make way for a fresh and sparkling roadster, with a strong mini B-King allure. The monstrous son of Hayabusa lends his features to this machine ready to conquer a new audience. With its muscular shoulders incorporating turn signals, a stylish headlight, dual exhaust and trim parts, this little roadster really looks good. The time of crises mistreats innovations but pushes Japan to create motorcycles in the economic sense, forgetting to be sad. Because the GW 250 is far from tasteless. You better look convincing in this hitherto unpopular segment. Yam’s YBR 250 paid the price…
Kawasaki set foot for a while in this displacement with its Ninja and KLX 250. Honda has recently installed its CBR 250. Does the little Suzuki roadster have the means to flick their faces? What does it offer at the engine level ?
Well, a new 248cc block. It is a liquid-cooled, injection, 6-speed, in-line twin, delivering 26 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and around 2.5 mkg of torque. Without being a thunderbolt, this engine will be more than enough for the city and will allow some good trips through the region..
Despite the “rough” rear fender, the rear is nicely designed and the passenger handle looks serious. Simple in design but proven, the chassis is based on a tubular steel cradle frame, a conventional fork and swingarm, one brake disc per wheel; nothing very special, just functional. It is therefore on its silhouette that the GW 250 Inazuma intends to make the difference. There are also some aluminum parts and a nice speedometer unit, including in addition to the standard information a fuel gauge, a gear indicator engaged, 2 trips, a maintenance indicator, and a warning light informing the pilot about his driving style. : eco or not.
As Jeanne Mas would say, ‘in red and black’ … Here are the two colors in which the little roadster Suz will be available.
