Suzuki SV 650 customizing contest

The winners have been determined

The Suzuki SV 650 is undisputedly a great motorcycle – just maybe a little too pleasing to one or the other. In order to dispel this impression, Suzuki launched a customizing competition for the Suzuki SV 650 at the beginning of March 2017. Now the winners have been determined.

D.he winning bikes were chosen by 5,434 Suzuki fans via online voting. We congratulate the winners!

1st place: Suzuki SV 650 The Charger

Suzuki SV 650 The Charger, from Suzuki dealer Thilo-Moto, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.

More information about the winning bike from Thilo-Moto:

In addition to the bench-tank monocoque (self-made!), The spoke wheels of the V-Strom 650 XT with Michelin Anakee tires, the Lucas handlebar, Moto-Gadget instruments, Leo-Vince exhaust and, above all, the Hyper-Charger stand out by Kuryakyn, which also serves as a fuel filler cap. The lamp “was stolen from some tractor” (original sound from builder Thilo Altegger). Everything with TÜV and registered. Time required for the conversion: 250 hours, price: 14,999 euros.

Originally dated March 1st

Stefan Fleschhut from Suzuki Germany explains the idea behind the campaign: “The fact that the Suzuki SV650 offers an ideal basis for great conversions has meanwhile got around in the scene. We noticed that many of our dealers also deal with the topic and build custom bikes that are really worth seeing. In order to present these to a broader public and to get other dealers excited about the topic, we have launched a customizing competition especially for the SV650. “

Suzuki wants to demonstrate that you don’t need large design studios or world-famous custom forges to implement great ideas with the Suzuki SV 650. Fleschhut is certain: “We have a lot of great dealers who can do that, and we want to show that with the project.”

The most complex and interesting conversions will be presented for voting from March 1, 2017. A specially created website presents all bikes and their customizers. The vote on the most successful conversion of a Suzuki SV 650 runs until the Suzuki Bikersday on April 1, 2017.

Those who take part in the vote can also win something: Suzuki is offering three accessory vouchers worth 500, 250 and 100 euros.
