The TLR had a mission: to get into a Superbike and have a picnic at Ducati. The manufacturer of Hamamatsu therefore took a machine equipped with a twin sport in its catalog – the TLS – and made it undergo training to go into combat. GSX-R aesthetics, S rotary damper but more sophisticated, SRAD, massive double-beam frame and reinforced swingarm, 6-piston brake calipers… and re-vitaminized engine; the twin is fitted with 2 injectors per cylinder and various parts are modified: air box, moving parts in the engine, intake ducts. The twin cylinder outputs 135 hp on the circuit – however, it has been planned to get out by some subtle arrangements close to 150. A Belgian tuner was even able to pull 180 nags! False illusions because the machine was too heavy and, although the adjustment possibilities were very extensive, this Superbike was not at ease on the circuit. Its potential is much more interesting outside the paddocks. The motorcycle benefits from an efficient and safe front axle, remarkable traction, and a powerful and pleasant engine. The whole machine is efficient and pleasant, admittedly a little heavy but balanced. The position is sporty but provides a certain comfort, just like protection. The duo on the TLR is simply a weight training session, shortened only to ridiculous autonomy. The attractive price and the enchanting behavior of the engine must be taken into account; especially the potential of the twin !
