With this big custom, it’s hard to go unnoticed. Very distinctive, with its shortened pot, its \ “cow horn \” style handlebars and its large front wheel, the Intruder is strongly inspired by chopper made in the USA.. Excellent finish, quality paint, Suzuki has applied and presents us with a beautiful and well finished machine. The substantial weight of the machine is only felt in the steering during evolutions at reduced speed. Otherwise, the fairly low center of gravity makes it possible to handle this 1400 with balance. Fairly flexible, the twin also has a rather nice character in the low and mid-range. a good point also for the gimbal which knows how to be forgotten. Comfort is less convincing. It remains correct as long as the bitumen is of good quality; after … Braking offers a good feeling but its power is not enough; optimism to moderate. Note that since 1990, the gearbox has changed from 4 to 5 speeds. The Intruder 1400 illustrates very well a certain era of custom.
