Suzuki has sold a million GSX-Rs. Respect! In their 27-year career, these sports models have left their mark on hearts, bodies and circuits. The brand celebrates the event with this limited series – 1 million – of GSX-R 1000. Under the plastics, the bike is technically identical to the production one. So this is not where we will find ABS, Traction Control or adaptive suspensions. This Gex will have to be satisfied with S-DMS as electronic assistance.

The major advantage of this limited edition lies in its commemorative spirit. First there is this particular number: 1985. You guessed it, this is the date of release of the very first GSX-R. It is also the number of copies of this series. A small plaque on the triple tree is there to remind you of this. Then, the decor is blithely inspired by the initiatory model of the saga. Finally, multiple elements stand out: the black Brembo radial brake calipers, the golden Showa BPF fork, the white rims (specific to Hamamatsu sports cars), and the forced air intake vents painted in red. At one time, this system so marked the community that the 750 GSX-R were commonly called SRAD, which was the abbreviation of the technology used (Suzuki Ram Air Direct).

France will only be entitled to 199 copies of the GSX-R 1000 “one million”. These will have the privilege of being equipped with a Yoshimura R77J titanium pot..
