Cyrille Bihr, founder of the eponymous company in 1975, has just handed over the presidency of Bihr SAS to his son Gerald, managing director since 2009. Cyrille Bihr thus completes the process of handing over power, but will retain "an active role as special advisor in the areas of product management and sourcing ".
The management committee of is now composed of Gerald Bihr (president), Pascal Amic (administrative and financial director), Thierry Millet (commercial director) and Ludovic Carrat (business development director).
Bihr, which has positioned itself over the years as a major player in the distribution of spare parts, accessories and motorcycle and scooter tires with an assortment of "more than 95,000 references", supplies "a network of more than 5,600 points of professional sales in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and DOM-TOM ".
The company based in Bartenheim (68) no longer publishes its accounts since 2009, but in 2008 employed 74 people and achieved a turnover of 28.5 million euros for a net profit of 2.6 million.
Its sole partner is the importer and distributor Moteo, the motorized two-wheeler division of the Belgian group Alcopa (automotive distribution, office furniture and real estate) which employs "more than 3000 people" for a turnover of "more than 1 , 6 billion euros ".
