The 99th edition of the Tourist Trophy ended in a memorable way … During five laps, Dean Harrison thought he could win the second Superbike race, the prestigious Senior TT. But that was counting without the pugnacity of Peter Hickman, winner of the only Superstock event four days earlier !

60 km, 219 turns, 16 minutes and 42 seconds

Deprived of the absolute record around the Snaeffel Moutain by Dean and his ZX-10R # 5, "Hicky" was forced to whip his S1000RR # 10 as much as possible in order to improve – twice in this same race! – the reference time … and beat your great rival by two short seconds !

The 100th "TiTi" will only start in 162 days, however the two new heavyweights in the category are already preparing for their new confrontations. Hickman and Harrison both renewed their contracts for 2019…

“(Dean) can only get better! He’s pretty much staying on the same bike,” Peter observes. "They just made it even better, so it’s going to be tough for us. But I really have confidence in myself, in the new BMW and in what they’ve produced.".

Will the new S1000RR be up to par? Passed the winter tests which always satisfy everyone, Tom Sykes will be the first to place the "Zouperbike" on the WorldSBK chessboard. Then Peter Hickman will evaluate him himself in British Superbike. Finally, will come the terrible ordeal of the Isle of Man.
