What happened ?!? A preparer in the town of Hinckley cracked his chainsaw on a T120? Not exactly, but there is something to it in the process. It was also necessary to fit the battery on the outside left, after the casing. The exhausts are reworked, proud of a brushed stainless steel, with a bevelled shape and a more compact size. Terrifically retouched, the Bobber really looks like a Bonneville that would have been gniake by a giant critter. Only the engine is spared from the big blows of the ax.
Spared but not untouched. The engine manufacturers have given it a more typical “big torque” character to stick to the bobber spirit. Here in its “High Torque” version, the parallel twin of 1200 cm3 sees its two maps (Road and Rain) adapted. The electronics are present as on all recent machines in the Triumph range, namely traction control, ABS, ride-by-wire, LED lights, coded immobilizer, and cleverly concealed injection behind fake carbs.
The beautiful neighborhood comes alive when the rider grabs the handlebars. Almost flat Fat Bar style, it accommodates the retro on its ends. In front of him, a single counter – the less mess, the better. No need for a tachometer, just listen to the twin. With this 1200 Bobber, Triumph gives Harley a blow in the c ….. es, with a machine that hits the preparation. Almost a descendant of the Rocker C.
