Triumph 955i DAYTONA 2001

Menus

Following its rebirth, the 3 cylinder became THE Triumph engine. It is found as well on the T-bird as in the Tiger trail. Since the T 595, and this 955i evolution, you are entitled to its sport version. Compared to the old one, this boiler has become lighter, has become less bulky and the engineers have greatly optimized it.. More horses but also less mid-range gniak. It loses a little personality but retains the playful aspect of the 3 legs: more torque at the bottom than a 4, softer than a twin, and a nice extension. In front of 955i, the Daytona also changes exhaust camshafts. Pushed into the towers, the mill is exciting, powerful and endowed with an intoxicating melody. The originality of the Daytona does not stop there. The cycle parie uses a curious but effective perimeter frame in aluminum tubes as well as a superb single-sided swingarm. Added to this is a rewarding and slender aesthetic, tinged with a strong identity. In its category, it is not the lightest but certainly one of the most captivating. This new generation has gained in agility, and since the ’99 vintage, a new more compact exhaust manifold allows ground clearance to be gained. The bike is lively and precise without being confusing. And with great braking, there is really something to have fun on the road.
