The Rocket III is the very expression of excess, an avalanche of torque and sensations. A mechanical ogre, whose 3 cylinder is light years away from standard considerations. This engine is such a beast that Triumph had muzzled it on the first three gears..
It seems like those days are over, and the world is ready to take in the full power of this massive 2.3-liter mill. In 2013, the manufacturer blew up the bridle which amputated 7% of its power from first gear to the third kick. From now on, each gearbox pinion will have to handle the 148 horsepower and the 22.4 mkg made available to the right hand. Violent and intimidating, the Rocket III truly tilts on the dark side of force. It also loses some chrome, replaced by black and more black.
