The 2018 World Superbike Honda Fireblades are for sale at Ten Kate
Bikers who want a – authentic – Superbike can find a motorcycle at Ten Kate! The Dutch team puts on sale the CBR1000RR SP2 they entered for Honda in the 2018 World Superbike. In this configuration, the Fireblade goes wild. The proof in video…
Certainly, and did not make sparks last year in World Superbike at the controls of their Honda. The English n ° 2, stopped and then slowed down by an injury in the third round of 2018 in Aragon, ultimately failed to climb on the podium he had come close to in Thailand and had to settle for 12th place in the championship.
For his part, the American No. 45 only entered the World Top 10 in racing four times. Not performing enough, Nicky Hayden’s replacement could not stay in World Superbike: in 2019, he returned to his national championship (AMA SBK) and gave way to Japanese Ryuichi Kiyonari.

The Fireblades entered by the Ten Kate team were therefore not the fastest on the track … However, these racing bikes were very beautiful and are now on sale, in their magnificent "Red Bull" livery. give wings…
Like the KTM manufacturer with these MotoGP RC16s, the Superbike team is separating its SP2s this winter! If the Austrian prototypes reach the "grand" price of 250,000 euros, the (top) Dutch models derived from the great series are displayed at a slightly more "reasonable" price: 85,000 euros.
For this price, the buyer has a real World Superbike machine. On the engine side for example, the seller emphasizes the presence of an Akrapovic titanium exhaust specially designed for the CBR1000RR SP2 engine prepared by TKR (Ten Kate Racing) and the prestigious Cosworth, cooled by Febur.
Failing to humiliate Jonathan Rea’s n ° 1 Kawasaki in the pit straight, the whole sings divinely well: we can to see him hear it in the video below posted recently on our "friends" Ten Kate Facebook page.
On the chassis side, the Dutch enumerate a tempting list of elements specific to the WorldSBK program: Ohlins suspensions, TKR / Suter swingarm, Yutaka brake discs and Nissin calipers, Marchesini rims, frame reinforcement and carbon fairing … "And a whole bunch of other high-end parts that make you realize this bike literally exudes competition ".
"The bike is sold as it was entered during the WSBK 2018 season, including Magneti Marelli electronics," said Ten Kate, who delivered a certificate of authenticity with the bike. But it can also be modified "according to the wishes of the customer, with different options".
Honda superbike on sale, Yamaha Supersport in preparation…
For any further information, Ten Kate invites interested riders to contact the team manager Kervin Bos by email. Finally, note that for smaller budgets, a 2007 one is also for sale for the modest sum of 4950 euros. What to start the Supersport without breaking the bank, the mention "world champion" as a bonus !
The team also posted side by side the photo of a being prepared and the image of a prestigious series of CBR600RRs, with which they dominated the category fifteen years ago with Fabien Foret, Chris Vermeulen, Karl Muggeridge, Sebastien Charpentier, Kenan Sofuoglu and Andrew Pitt.
Replaced by the Althea-Moriwaki duo in Superbike this year, Honda’s historic partner – and long gone – in World SBK and SSP could therefore make its – big – comeback in Supersport. At the same time, however, other rumors circulate about a commitment to Superbike … with Suzuki ?
Although terribly exciting, this second track scented by our colleagues from Speedweek is to be taken with tweezers chopsticks: the Hamamatsu firm had already scheduled its own return to World Superbike with the Grillini team, but the latter never showed the tip of its fairing … Business to follow, on MNC of course !
