The final World Superbike tests before the winter break are taking place right now on the Jerez circuit (Spain). The factory Aprilia RSV4s are on site: one is driven by Eugene Laverty … the other by Sylvain Guintoli.

Sylvain Guintoli riding his Aprilia is at the top of the timesheet today in 1’41.283 ahead of Laverty (Aprilia) in 1’41.762, Haslam (Honda) in 1’42.039, Rea (Honda) in 1’42.108, Fabrizio (Aprilia) in 1’42.114 and Hofmann (Aprilia) in 1’43.028.

Tom Sykes (Kawasaki) also seems to have turned in 1’41 and his teammate Loris Baz is also in a good rhythm, but the Greens are still in "stealth" mode (without transponder) and therefore do not appear in the classification…

A week after his second WSBK coronation, Max Biaggi participated with his teammate Eugene Laverty in the 2013 first tests of the official Aprilia team (read). We didn’t know it yet – and neither did he ?! -, but these were then the last laps of the six-time motorcycle speed world champion !

The famous n ° 3 indeed decided to hang up the leather at the beginning of November, and thus released the last factory handlebars of the World Superbike 2013 plateau (read). But this one has just been seized by our favorite n ° 50: Sylvain Guintoli !

The Frenchie obviously had no trouble going from the Rouge de Bologne (1198) to the Rouge de Noale (RSV4), as "Guinters" posted a time of 1 ‘42.838 yesterday, just six tenths behind his neighbor of Laverty box.

Michel Fabrizio and his private RSV4 are at the top of the timesheet (1 ‘42.170), but Tom Sykes and his ZX-10R without a transponder – the Ninjas were in "stealth" mode – would have turned in 1’41.3 … Business, times and contract (Sylvain with Aprilia?) To follow on the Site: stay tuned !
