WSBK 2014: who will be Superbike and Supersport world champion ?
The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has just published the list of entries in World SBK 2014. The Superbike category is full with 27 riders including 5 French. In Supersport, the list includes 21 names for the moment. Place your bets !
Who will succeed Sykes and Lowes ,? The answer can be found somewhere below, in the lists – "provisional"but almost final – committed…
By calling in the Superbike category (4-cylinder motorcycles of 1000 cc and twin-cylinder 1200 cc), we realize that the represents almost half of the workforce: 12 out of 27, with a majority of very promising new elements. !
MNC readers – who, as everyone knows, have a little more flair than others – will prioritize watching the – the Superbike antechamber – Sylvain Barrier, his "best enemy", as well as the – very – good old man! Among the cadors, and will play to win against the tenors: Sykes – of course -, Laverty, Melandri, Rea, Davies, Lowes (Alex!), Giugliano, Haslam, etc..
Let us note at the same time that if the are officially named in the category "SBK", the participation of (in the "SBK Evo") remains still subject to homologation..
On the Supersport side (600 cc 4-cylinder or 675 cc 3-cylinder motorcycles), Sam Lowes went to try his luck in Moto2 and therefore leaves a throne vacant this year. Kenan Sofuoglu – already! – hopes to settle there again, but there are many contenders: 20 so far.
The 2012 runner-up is obviously one of the favorites even if his MV Agusta F3 has to last for a whole season. Our second representative, Florian Marino, is also in the starting blocks…
Be careful, however: within this group of young pilots, many unknown today, there is undoubtedly a great champion of tomorrow! The two championships are to be followed all year round on Site.
So who will be the 2014 world champion? Make your choices below and see you on February 23 at Phillip Island: stay tuned !
