By dint of seeing the R1 mark the field of sports and attracting beautiful looks, some members of the Yamaha family have desires. Including that of having the same face. The 700 Tracer is from this vein, completes this stage of cosmetic surgery, taking great care to keep its identity.. Which gives a result extending the new style of the builder.
Equipped with the first Euro 5 version of the sparkling CP2, twin 689 cm³, the 2020 model takes it to a new level. With a new dynamic look and offering the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, the Tracer 700 is designed to offer a lot of sensations..
New fairing with new aggressive double headlight
Equipped with dual LED position lights and LED headlamp, the Tracer 700 sports a new modern and aggressive look.
The new front end gives it a much more daring look. Blending in with the tank cover, this aerodynamic fairing provides wind and weather protection for improved comfort over long distances. The new front fender follows this new design direction to reinforce the formidable new styling of the bike.
689 cm CP2 engine³
The new Tracer 700 is powered by the 689 cm twin-cylinder crossplane³, one of the most popular at Yamaha. What makes this engine so special is its 270 ° crankshaft which provides an ignition sequence at irregular intervals, allowing linear torque to be delivered which responds directly to the driver’s acceleration..
For 2020, this engine is enriched with optimized injection and ignition parameters, a redesigned air intake, optimized exhaust parameters and a modified exhaust system that allow this engine to exceed the EU5 standards.
Delivering peak power at 8,750 rpm with peak torque at 6500 rpm, the Tracer 700’s engine delivers a thrilling riding experience. The wide torque variation guarantees strong acceleration, with a modified secondary transmission ratio the 2020 model is even more responsive.
Lightest in its class, best power / weight ratio
Equipped with a lightweight tubular frame and an aluminum swingarm that offers an extended wheelbase (+ 10mm) of 1460mm, the compact chassis of the Tracer 700 is one of the most agile of the Sport Touring models. With the lowest full weight in its class, just 196 kg, combined with its exhilarating engine, the Tracer 700 offers the best power-to-weight ratio..
Adjustable front and rear suspensions
To allow the owner of the Tracer 700 to explore the full potential of the bike, the new model is fitted with an improved 41mm cartridge-style fork. The spring setting has been adjusted to optimize road holding. The 2020 model allows you to adjust the rebound and preload of the shock absorber. Thanks to the adjustable shock absorber, the bike is easy to configure to suit different rider weights and different road conditions.
Aerodynamic windshield with one-handed adjustment
The Tracer 700 is equipped with a fine aerodynamic bubble, with superior optical quality. With just one hand, the height of the screen can be adjusted by more than 60 mm. In addition, the hand guards provide additional protection against wind and weather.
Straight driving position
The Tracer 700 is designed to provide an upright riding position. It has a 34 mm wider handlebar, in the middle of which it is possible to attach accessories. Like the new saddle shape, the handlebars improve ergonomics for greater comfort and control over long distances.
Two-seater saddle with a curved shape for the comfort of the rider and the passenger
Solo or duo, the new monobloc saddle offers increased comfort for rider and passenger. It offers greater freedom in the choice of the riding position. The front part integrates perfectly with the tank and the fairing to allow a good grip at the level of the knees, while the curved profile offers better support to the rider during acceleration.
The rear of the seat is slightly higher, which offers a more comfortable position for the passenger. The new saddle also features details like stitching which add a touch of style..
Negative LCD instrument panel
One of the new features of the Tracer 700 is the negative LCD instrument panel with a multi-function display. The tachometer or the gear engaged indicator light are colored. The rider can easily adjust the screen using a button on the left of the handlebars.
LED turn signals
Compact LED indicators were installed. At the front, they are integrated under the new hand guards.
