Apart from the 900 Diversion, a roadster was missing from Yamaha since the disappearance of the 1000 GTS. The manufacturer has taken the genes of the FJ 1200 and presents us with a model whose arguments are attractive. The line is very classy, sober, and immediately presents itself as a vessel of the road. Getting on board the FJR is no problem and you immediately feel at ease. The controls are smooth, the clutch progressive, and the good distribution of the masses helps to make this bike very pleasant and manoeuvrable. The big 1300 that lives in the machine is a little marvel: its imposing torque and surprising power make the FJR a very fast and wonderfully efficient motorcycle. the limited ground clearance and the inertia due to the weight remind you that you are not riding a sports car, but the chassis and the excellent behavior allow you to adopt very rewarding gaits. You can cut the road and have fun without worry. The suspensions are excellent, the transmission (cardan) is forgotten, the braking is a treat – powerful and progressive – and the bike easy to enter in curves. So many parameters that enhance the pleasure of riding.
