2 years. It only took Yamaha 2 years to give reality to the positive reactions of its 2003 Mondial de la Moto proto. When it was presented as a concept car, the MT-03 surprised and thrilled many people. Its fun and light design immediately expresses the pleasure of the offbeat object. The MT-03 relies above all on its plastic to seduce. And it is true that she has the mouth. From the lighthouse to the exhausts, there is no shortage of parts that catch the eye. A subtly designed headlight held by beautiful plates, a shock absorber placed on the side of the engine and fixed on a swingarm with a very specific extension, rims with super thin sticks, exhausts with a design modeled on those of the MT- 01, a not very big tank and a double-stage saddle – It works badly in the design offices of Yam.
The public reaction was enthusiastic at the Paris Salon; there is no reason for that to change now.
