The TMax is the Yamaha maxi-scooter, historically the first very large scooter launched on the market in 2001.
Despite regular evolutions, the TMax has retained its original displacement of 499 cm3, facing a race with the displacement of the competition (600, 650 or even 800 cm3). Its sporty look, and the race of the same name, gives it a rebel and thug side. It was in 2008 that it benefited from the most important developments with a die-cast aluminum frame (-3.6 kilos on the scale), a new line, a new lens, a higher screen (+3.5 cm ), a 15-inch front wheel (14 for the old one), new injection mapping, a one-liter tank and a brand new meter. But the TMax retains its power and torque, unchanged at 43.5 hp and 4.6 mkg. Discovery

Back on departmental roads, the TMax adapts to the new rhythm to attack from corner to corner. It is little or not at all sensitive to bad surfaces, providing excellent driving comfort as well.

The passenger is rather far from the pilot. The seat
is firm but is compensated by a very good job of the suspensions.
The handles are well placed.
Passenger footrests fold perfectly into the fairing when there is none
need. The toe clips are roughly at the same level
than those of a motorcycle, but the seat is a bit high compared to the competition. As a result, getting behind is not so easy, especially when a rain suit makes the movements less easy..
Braking
The TMax offers both excellent bite and feel. The first brakes are even surprising. it brakes and it even brakes very well. The ABS, despite the overweight of 5 kilos, brings a very appreciable supplement of safety.
Consumption
