A big, very big road roadster, do you like it? Yamaha also designs it and sets out to make its virulent MT-10 more traveler. After all, the MT-07 and MT-09 are entitled to a Tracer version, judicious crossover clearly increasing the versatility of these roadsters-stars of the market. Not yet this cocktail here: it is not the 1000 Tracer (we are slowly getting closer …) but the MT-10 Tourer Edition. Big watts and fittings to afford long trips.
Contoured windshield, stylish hand guards and small suitcases do little to overwhelm the bodybuilder and edgy line of the MT-10. Looks like a wrestler who took her handbag for the weekend outing. By opening the ball of accessories, Yamaha traces a bigger road for its big hyper-naked. One of the strong points is the bubble of good section which will relieve your chest and neck. With its deflated R1 engine that propels you quickly to forbidden speeds, the MT-10 knows how to tear the head of the impetuous; the Tourer Edition will ease the pressure on the pilot.
Comfort is also invited with a saddle of the same name, thicker and more pleasant. The pognes are also entitled to some finery. Hand guards are a hit when it comes to design. But in terms of efficiency, they will be in the same vein as those of the 900 Tracer. And to store a few items, a duo of flexible ABS cases will allow you to take bread, sausage, toothbrush and toiletries; but do not plan to fit a helmet in it. Finally, a support for GPS invites to cram this kind of co-pilot. And justly…
So can we go? Certainly, but no question of taking a card and we do not know where we are going. So Yamaha offers a bonus with this MT-10 Tourer Edition: the manufacturer has approached TomTom to offer buyers of this bike a Rider 410 at half price. Or 199 euros to put on the counter to have 152 countries in a screen of 11 cm.
With this bike, Yam does not offer the descendant of the FZ1 Fazer or a road model but a fireball with some Sunday provisions. A stay with a roadster closely derived from the boiling R1, with 160 horsepower in the gut, a chassis sharpened to perfection and electronics that go well: traction control, shifter, cruise control, 3 injection maps, ABS. Of course, the price goes up. Within reason, as this pack represents a savings of around 20% compared to accessories purchased separately.
