Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki n ° 1), 1st

04-13 Netherlands - Assen - Statements by World Supersport drivers in Assen -

"The season had started very badly for me (packages at Phillip Island and Buriram, technical problem in Aragon, editor’s note) and I was very stressed during the race, from the inside and not because of someone else who would put me pressure. But I finally won a race this year. From now on I can be more relaxed. I don’t make any plans on the championship, I ride to win as many races as possible. That’s the goal . To get another victory in my career is a very good thing. A big, big thank you to Kawasaki and my Puccetti team because they worked a lot to bring me back to first place, and it is now done. ".

Lucas Mahias (Yamaha n ° 144), 2nd

“It was a very good race and it was great to get on my third podium in four races. It’s a good result for the championship and I’m happy for it. The race was very difficult because Kenan was very fast in free practice and qualifying. I tried to follow him at the start of the race but it was very difficult. I lost three places widening in turn 5, which made it difficult for me task. I’m not happy with my consistency in the race, which is normally one of my strengths. It’s a good result for Yamaha and for the championship as I come home with a lead of 20 points in the standings. I can’t wait to go to Imola, where I hope to regain my consistency and fight for the victory "

Jules Cluzel (Honda n ° 16), 3rd

"I’m happy with my run. My first lap was not very good, but I managed to get back to Mahias. I passed him when he made a mistake and tried to escape to dig a gap, but I didn’t make it. I really tried to stick with him and try my luck on the last lap, but I couldn’t pass him on the last corner because it would have been a disaster, it was impossible for me to be clean. I was very close and I came out very hard when he backwheeled. If the line had been 5 meters further, I would have overtaken him. little pissed off. Passing someone on a mistake like this isn’t great, but it would have given me four more points! "

Patrick Jacobsen (MV Agusta n ° 99), 4th

"I’m happy with this race, although finishing off the podium is not so good for me, because I know we have the potential to stay on top. I’m scoring some important points for the championship and that’s crucial at this point. We just have to stay positive. My mechanics have worked a lot and I would like to reward them with a great race at Imola, the home race for MV Agusta ".

Sheridan Morais (Yamaha n ° 32), 5th

“Still a strong race. I’m not happy with the place, but I’m happy with the progress we made and the fact that we were fighting ahead. We will have a few things to do before the next race, but I feel good and I can’t wait to be there. The team are working very hard and we will be even stronger in Imola which is a great track for me ".

Federico Caricasulo (Yamaha n ° 64), 6th

“My bike was running very well today. The performance of the front tire dropped a bit in the last four laps. I had another problem in the last three or four laps: I had trouble controlling my motorcycle because of my shoulder injury (broken collarbone in Aragon three weeks ago, editor’s note). It really complicated the driving, but I knew the importance of securing points. Arrived in the last chicane , I struggled to brake and lost two places. I’m happy with this result given my injury, and I’m looking forward to the next race at Imola. My shoulder will have had more time to heal ".
