Lucas Mahias (Yamaha GRT) can be titled World Supersport champion this weekend in Jerez: the French has 9 points more than his pursuer, the Turkish Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti)… who was seriously injured at Magny-Cours and forfeited this penultimate round of the 2017 season! First match point in Spain, before the final in Qatar…
"I’m very happy to arrive in Jerez, I really like this circuit and I won my first race abroad in the Spanish Moto2 Sprint Championship (CEV) Moto2", recalls the French rider before competing in the ‘penultimate round of the 2017 World Supersport this weekend in Jerez, to be followed naturally live on MNC at the same time as the (beware of the time difference:) !
"The layout suits my driving style and I enjoy riding here, so I can’t wait to hit the track on my R6", continues Lucas who leads the general classification with 154 points ahead of Kenan Sofuoglu who has 145 points. and will not be able to score more on Sunday. Third with 122 points, Sheridan Morais will be the only rival of our dear No. 144 on the track. The title of Supersport World Champion 2017 is therefore within reach for the !
