Optimal illumination of the road is particularly important for motorcyclists. Correct headlight adjustment is therefore a prerequisite for good visibility at night. If you don’t want to have your lights adjusted in the workshop, you can use the following instructions: The motorcycle is parked in front of a light wall with the exact tire pressure and strut adjustment for solo operation. When choosing a space, it is important that the machine is on level ground. Now the driver sits down on the machine and holds it upright. The distance from the wall to the center of the front wheel (axle) should be five meters.

The distance from the floor to the center of the headlight is measured by a second person with a tape measure or meter stick and marked with a cross on the wall. A second cross must be drawn five centimeters below this cross. Then switch on the low beam. The headlight is to be adjusted so that at the level of the lower cross the “Chiaroscuro border” begins, rises to the level of the upper cross in an arc to the right and then falls again. In order to avoid unnecessary trouble with the adjustment screws on the headlight, it is advisable to sprinkle the threads with a drop of oil or rust remover beforehand.
