This new 1000 Tuono Fighter is actually a semi-novelty. Aprilia had the good omen to create the Tuono R in limited series in order to test customers. Having given birth to a demonic and sublime machine, acclaimed by the press and the public, the firm of Noale presents a model for the general public. The machine will no longer be limited in copies, so much the better for us; it loses however certain letters of nobility compared to the R without calling into question the effectiveness. The price drops below € 12,000 and guess why … Ohlins suspension components are replaced by a Showa fork and Sachs shock absorber. The carbon of the covers gives way to plastic, the aluminum rims are no longer forged but molded and the Brembo braking with one pad per piston is replaced by classic gold Brembo (which however hold the top of the pavement). 10 kg more on the scale in comparison of his cousin but that does not change much. The soul of the Tuono is the best of the RSV – its engine and chassis. The bracelets have mutated into a handlebar mounted on saddles which radically changes the driving position. The electronic chip of the Fighter differs slightly in order to offer a better exploitable torque range. The twin at 60 ° thus leaves 126 hp instead of the 130 of the R. Negligible. With the Tuono, Aprilia makes sport accessible to everyone; well almost, the price is not very “republican”. Less demanding than a hypersport while being almost as efficient, the Tuono Fighter is a real invitation to pleasure and more so.
