Benda is a Chinese manufacturer that is not yet known in this country. Hangzhou-based Zhejiang Changling Binjiang Motorcycle Co., Ltd. (Benda Motor Group) has so far mainly built 50cc scooters, cargo tricycles and motorcycles with a maximum of 400 cm³ and two cylinders. Partnerships with well-known motorcycle manufacturers are not yet known.

In July 2020, patent images appeared in China that show the design of a real power cruiser. You can see an elongated bike in the style of a Ducati Diavel. An inline four-cylinder engine is located in the frame made of cast aluminum elements. The designation BD 700 suggested a displacement of just 700 cm³. The engine structure is strongly reminiscent of the inline four-cylinder from the Honda CBR 650 – but with new side covers and modifications in the area of ​​the cylinder head.

Two performance levels, but always a 310 rear wheel

In July 2021, Benda officially presented the LF-01 as the LFC700. It is currently not known whether the power cruiser will also come to Europe. Therefor some technical data. The in-line four-cylinder comes with 680 cm³ and two power variants. For the basic configuration, 86 hp at 10,000 rpm and 60 Nm at 8,000 rpm are specified. The high-power version develops 94 hp at 11,000 revs and brings a maximum torque of 63 Nm to the start at 8,500 revs. The driver sits at a seat height of just 695 millimeters behind a 20 liter fuel drum, from where he has to direct the 235 kilogram benda. The built-in rear wheel format is really extreme: 310 / 35-18 – even some cars go pale there. At the front, a 130/70 tire rotates on a 19-inch rim. The top speed of the basic version is limited to 170 km / h. The reins of the power variant let air up to 195 km / h. It is shifted by a six-speed gearbox. The final drive takes place via a conventional chain.

Another striking feature is the under-engine exhaust, which blows off to the side in four square tailpipes directly in front of the rear wheel. The rear wheel itself is in an aluminum swing arm with a central spring strut. The front wheel with double disc brake system and radially attached brake calipers is guided by a USD fork. In the base, the stoppers come from Nissin, Brembos equip the high-power version. ABS is standard equipment. The cockpit manifests itself as a TFT display on the extremely wide handlebar. In front of it there is a round LED headlight in a turbine design.
