The Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer Bimota has actually been firmly linked with the Japanese two-wheeler giant Kawasaki since the end of 2019. But now the Italians are again building Tesi models with Ducati engines.

As reported by the Dutch media, will Bimota Even after the takeover by Kawasaki, we still manufacture Tesi models with the old, air-cooled 1,100 Ducati V2. The reason for this is very simple. Bimota still has 45 Ducati units in its inventory, which are now to be brought to the public somehow. These are to be installed in Tesi 3D chassis, as they were launched in 2013.

Motors only meet Euro 3

The only problem: The old, 98 hp engines are only homologated to Euro 3 and are therefore no longer for sale in new vehicles in Europe and various other markets. It is therefore not clear where the newly constructed Tesi 3D models are going to go. Possibly to collectors in the USA and Japan. The production of the new Bimota Tesi 3D from the remainder of the stock will soon start at the company location in Rimini. In 2013, the Tesi 3D models were offered for around 30,000 euros.

Bimota wants the new one in 2020 Tesi H2 present in their serial form. The heart of this is the 1000cc four-cylinder compressor from Kawasaki.
