Ever heard of a motorcycle manufacturer called Brixton Motorcycles? No? Hopefully that will have changed after reading this article. The Austrian KSR Group had already founded the brand in 2015 and presented it to the public for the first time at EICMA in Milan that same year. Three years later, Brixton is again at a major trade fair, but this time at INTERMOT in Cologne. There are two brand new models and other bikes that will be available in the 2019 model year. The target group can be identified at first glance without any major problems: beginners with a weakness for retro looks.

Brixton BX 125 / R / X / Haycroft

The 125cc models from Brixton Motorcycles were already available in the 2018 model year. Nevertheless, they should be mentioned in this article. Interested parties can choose between four different variants. The entry-level bikes are powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine, which varies slightly in terms of performance depending on the model variant.

The BX 125 R is one of several Brixton 125cc bikes.

The basic version of the 125 cm³ engine has an output of 11 hp at 8,500 rpm and 11.4 Nm at 7,000 rpm. In the X variant, the maximum torque of 9.5 Nm is available at 6,500 rpm. Accordingly, the manufacturer also specifies different key figures for gasoline consumption (Brixton BX 125: 2.3 liters, Brixton BX 125 X: 2.7 liters). The curb weight is around 134 kilograms.

Brixton also equips its 125 cc with a digital speedometer, a five-speed gearbox and LED lighting elements. Unfortunately, ABS is not on board. The manufacturer decided on a so-called Combined Brake System (CBS) to meet the Euro4 standard. 14 liters should fit into the tank. Otherwise, the individual models largely differ in terms of appearance and price.

Prices start at 2,699 euros for the basic model. The R variant costs 2,799 euros. If you choose the Brixton BX 125 X, you have to transfer € 2,999 to the KSR Group. The special model called Haycroft has a special role to play. the “Special”-Variant is limited to 444 copies worldwide. A price has not yet been named. In addition, we have another model with the addition at the trade fair in Cologne “Felsberg 125 X” discovered, which we are not quite sure whether it is also a special model or a show bike. In any case, the model was not mentioned in the press release.

Brixton Glanville 250 X

Two models with 250 cm³ have been added to the model range. One of them is the Brixton Glanville 250 X. The Glanville made its first appearance at EICMA 2017, but at that time it was not a model that was not ready for series production.

This model called the Brixton Glanville 250 X is new to the range.

The air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine of the new model is expected to generate just under 18 hp at 7,500 rpm. The manufacturer has not yet commented on the maximum torque. Accordingly, there is still no information on fuel consumption. The tank capacity is about 13 liters. In terms of dimensions, Brixton specifies 2,020 x 830 x 1,105 mm (length x width x height) for the Glanville. The empty weight is approx. 150 kilograms.

Brixton equips the new model with LED lights, an upside-down fork, ABS and a digital speedometer, among other things. It should roll out to dealers from spring 2019. The starting price is 3,699 euros.

Brixton Saxby 250

The second new 250 model from Brixton is called the Saxby 250. When designing the Saxby, Brixton was more based on the BX 125.

Technically, there are no differences between the Brixton Saxby 250 and the Glanville.

Technically, the Saxby does not differ from the previously presented Brixton Glanville 250 X. Anyone who decides to buy the Saxby, which by the way will be available in two different paint finishes, has to invest 3,599 euros. Just like the Glanville, the Saxby is also expected to roll out to dealers in spring 2019.
