A children’s car with a KTM engine and probably over 60 hp. Sounds crazy, but it’s reality. The American Steve Hessick has converted a Power Wheels Porsche into a fun device for adults.

Ever heard of Power Wheels? The small cars were really popular with children in the USA in the 1990s. They look confusingly similar to their role models and are usually equipped with a small electric motor.

Steve Hessick got the latter through a 450 cubic KTM Engine and six-speed gearbox replaced, which is estimated to transfer over 60 hp to the rear axle via two chains. For this, the front hood of the Power Wheels Porsche had to believe in it. The engine is in front of the windshield, and the air filter towers above it.

The self-made frame is so wide that the 10-inch wheels are free on the outside. The driver is warmed from below, namely from the manifold moved to the rear. And from behind, the water cooler, which is screwed onto the rear wing, heats the stressed intervertebral discs.
Hessick’s Porsche is controlled with a mixture of steering wheel and handlebar, on which the electric starter, accelerator, clutch and front brake are mounted. A foot pedal is available for the rear brake and is switched – like on a motorcycle – with the left foot.

Conclusion
Burnout, drift, wheelie – all no problem with this little rocket. In addition, Steve Hessick’s Power Wheels Porsche looks just amazing. We’d love to take a test drive.
