Ducati Custom Rumble
The winner of the custom competition has been determined
Ducati called for the so-called Custom Rumble in 2019, in which the best Scrambler conversion was to be determined. A winner has now been announced. A total of 74 converted scramblers were available
The Ducati S.crambler should become even more beautiful and, above all, more individual. Accordingly, almost a year ago Ducati called on dealers, customers and customizers to build their dream scrambler. With the aim of creating even more freedom for personal reinterpretations, Ducati expanded the categories for the third edition of the Custom Rumble: In addition to four categories for Scrambler 800 and Sixty2 models, there was a special category for conversions of the Scrambler 1100.
Subject areas were assigned to the categories in order to create the lowest common denominator for custom bikes:
- Rocker: Motorcycles that are inspired by the culture of the legendary cafe racers of the 1960s, who started a revolution in the motorcycle universe.
- Cut-Down: Bobber-style motorcycles, reduced to the bare essentials and freed from everything that is not needed for driving.
- All-Terrain: Enduro-style scrambler, perfect for any terrain and equipped with special off-road elements.
- Outsider: for all those who do not fit into one of the above categories and want to let their creativity run free.
- Bully: the category dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler 1100, with no restrictions on the style of conversion.
Ducati
Participants could register until December 30, 2019. The participating custom bikes also had to be completed and uploaded to the designated area on the Scramblerducati.com website by January 30, 2020. On May 25, 2020, Ducati determined the winner in a Facebook livestream after five modifications had made it to the final. The victory ultimately secured the "bully" (Scrambler 1100 Sport FT) by Marco Graziani, which can be seen in the lead picture above. The Graziani bike received a total of 537 votes, opposing the conversions by Nick Tansley from Barcelona (450 votes), Nguyen Ximong from Hanoi (357 votes), Francesco Russo from Naples (231 votes) and Ducati Hellas from Athens (204 votes) by).
74 bikes were available
A total of 74 bikes made it into the final selection. In the picture gallery attached above, we show the 28 participants who received the most votes by mid-February 2020. All participants are on the conclusion
With almost 100 more votes, the renovation by Marco Graziani from Rome won through against the competition. The jury also included Andrea Dovizioso and Chaz Davis, among others. Ducati has not yet mentioned whether the custom bike competition will take place this year.
