Miller was only promoted to the official works team for the 2021 season. Before that, he drove for three years in the factory-supported private team of Pramac Racing.
In the current season, Miller has already scored two victories in a row at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain and at Le Mans in France. With 64 points he is currently fourth in the world championship. Just 16 points behind current leader Fabio Quartararo while Ducati and the Ducati Lenovo Team lead the constructors ‘and teams’ championships.
“I am very happy to continue my adventure with the Ducati Lenovo Team in the next season! Wearing these colors is a great honor for me and it was a dream come true to win the last two races at the Desmosedici GP! Without the great support I have received from Ducati and the entire team over the past few months, this would not have been possible. I will do my best to continue this positive trend and fight for the title. Forza Ducati!”, explains Jack Miller.
“We are excited to announce that we will continue with Miller in 2022. During this first season, Jack has shown great talent, professionalism and determination. After a difficult start to the season, he was able to secure two important victories under various conditions. He’s definitely one of the drivers who better understand our Desmosedici GP in order to fully exploit its potential in all conditions, as the recent success at Le Mans has shown. As always, our goal remains the championship title, and we believe that, with Jack and Pecco, we will be among the main players in defending the title in 2022”, said Ducati team boss Luigi Dall’Igna for the record.
Conclusion
Ducati extends the contract with Jack Miller in the MotoGP factory team for another year until the end of 2022.
