Ducati Multistrada V4 with Akrapovic exhaust ex works
Accessories for Ducati Multistrada
V4 tourer with Akrapovic directly from the factory
Ducati and Akrapovic have been working very closely together since 2014. Two different exhaust systems from Akrapovic can now be ordered from the factory for the new Multistrada with V4 – sometimes more, sometimes less legal.

December 21, 2020
Ducati offers in collaboration with Akrapovic for the new Multistrada V4 two new options for sound design ex works.
As a legal variant, a slip-on silencer can be ordered directly in the configurator or retrofitted later. The 700 gram lighter muffler with a titanium shell, a carbon cap and stylish honeycomb grille in front of the two exhaust openings comes with ABE, as well as other approvals in the USA and Japan. Price: 1,276 euros. Performance data there Ducati none, since since Euro 4 such accessories are not allowed to have any changes to the entered performance data. The Ducati Multistrada V4 Sport carries this muffler in series, even if it would be completely covered by any suitcases on all models.
Ducati
Here the Akrapovic in its legal version on the Multistrada V4 for 1276 euros.
Racing facility without approval
Those who are not so strict about legality on the road, never drive to Tyrol and also want to make sure that Tyrolean volume bans will soon apply everywhere, you can also order a racing system ex works for 2,552 euros. Ducati expressly emphasizes that this is a pure racing system without any road approval. With this variant, not only the muffler but also the entire collector under the engine is replaced. Thanks to titanium and stainless steel, this brings a weight saving of five kilograms and, thanks to the new mapping provided, five horsepower and eight Nm more torque. Ducati is careful to mention here that the new mapping of course also adapts the active driving safety system to the additional power – important on race tracks.
Ducati
Also available as a high-rack racing version including a new collector, new mapping with more power for 2552 euros.

How do you feel about motorcycling and noise??
There is no need for excessive noise, so I adapt my driving style.
This is not noise, but sound – and it is part of riding a motorcycle, no matter how loud.

Conclusion
Shouldn’t the days be over when serial manufacturers offered illegal accessories or only the racetrack ex works, especially for motorcycles that were not built for the racetracks? Obviously not. It’s a shame, but it does answer the question of who makes the motorcycles louder. Driver or the manufacturer? The legal end pot is still pretty.
