Slowed down by the global corona lockdown, two Honda developers used the time and designed Fireblade models out of paper.

Hisao Tomimoto and Shogo Nishida work as development engineers for motorcycle manufacturer Honda. When the corona pandemic paralyzed their jobs and banished them to the home office, they both sat down at their computers and developed paper motorcycles.
The idea was obvious, as both had already come up with a paper version of the popular Honda Super Cub together before Corona, which found many fans on social media channels.

The result is a handicraft sheet for a Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, which is available in a colored and a white version. Both Papercraft models can be downloaded from Honda’s global website become. And why did it turn out to be the Fireblade? Because it is the top model from Honda, both declare amicably.
The biggest challenge was the design of the front fairing. It should be as true to the original as possible, but also easy to fold. The HRC coloring was also not easy to apply.

The paper models are suitable for hobbyists from around ten years of age. Hisao Tomimoto and Shogo Nishida hope that the fun handicrafts can provide a little distraction in Corona times.

Conclusion
What do Honda motorcycle developers do when they are not allowed to work due to Corona? They develop Honda models out of paper. Great idea and great craft fun for fans.
