New decors for Airflite, Variant Pro and Airform

We’re used to crazy design from Icon. We won’t be disappointed with the autumn 2020 collection either, with two unusually puristic decors at the start.

Peace Keeper calls Icon the design that expands the selection for the Airflite helmet model with the new autumn 2020 collection. There are also the Crosslink and El Centro decors – the former in black and red with textured graphics and the latter in blue and gold.

Airflite Peace Maker for around 270 euros

The design of the Airflite can be customized according to the modular icon principle. New for 2020: The Airflite Airfoil SB, the attachment for the top of the helmet, can be ordered in five different colors – black, white, silver, gold and rainbow colors. The oversized air inlets of the attachment are purely decorative and have no function except to round off the look of the helmet. There is also a choice of six new colors for the rear helmet spoiler as well as six visors and six sun visors.

For the Peace Keeper (in black or white) Icon gives an MSRP of 320 US dollars, which is the equivalent of around 270 euros.

Willy Pete glows in the dark

Icon is also introducing a new decor for the Variant Pro: bright green and blue on a black background – this is how the decor comes about “Willy Pete” hence, with which the Icon Variant Pro costs 350 US dollars, i.e. around 300 euros. The bright colors are not the real highlight of this design, because it only becomes really noticeable at night: parts of the helmet glow in the dark, which is not expressly prohibited in Germany, but if additional light sources on the driver can change the signal image it will be problematic. Signal image means: The motorcycle lighting must make it unmistakably clear to other road users that it is a motorcycle. That could be difficult with this helmet.

New decors for Icon Airform

On the other hand, the four new decors for the most popular Icon helmet model, Airform, are unproblematic. The Airform Chantilly comes with wild ornaments in black on white or black on less black, but still black. Such ornaments adorn the Airform Chantilly Opal, which changes color and shines with a mother-of-pearl effect – in blue-black-violet or in violet-black-green. Cost point: the equivalent of around 190-210 euros.

Smile please, says the Airform Grillz, whose visor cutout is lined with huge white and gold teeth. Price: around 210 euros. Around 190 euros are due for the Icon Airform with the new Buck Fever decor, which is as much as “Hunting fever” called.

Conclusion

Even a completely white helmet or a completely black helmet look neither inconspicuous nor ordinary with Icon, you have to get that right first.
