Ten race weekends are on the IDM calendar for the 2020 season, including the Red Bull Ring in Austria, which has not been on the program for the past six years. In addition, Motor Presse Stuttgart will remain the organizer of the IDM until 2021.

What had been ripe for a decision since the IDM final in Hockenheim has now been officially sealed with the DMSB. The DMSB has the sporting sovereignty. “The trustful cooperation with the DMSB (German Motor Sport Association) will continue to underline our committed work over the past few years,” says Dr. Andreas Geiger, Managing Director of Motor Presse Stuttgart. “The new contract allows us to successfully develop the series further together with our partners, sponsors and organizers. This means that the teams and drivers can also rely on a stable situation. “

The IDM is the highest German series in motorcycle road racing. The participants in the predicate and frame classes come from all over Europe, America, Australia and Asia. The MOTORRAD action team at Motor Presse Stuttgart is responsible for organizing the IDM.

Just three weeks after the 2019 season finale, Motor Presse Stuttgart announced the event dates for 2020 as the promoter and host of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). There are ten events on the calendar for the coming year. If there are six appearances, all IDM classes will start. Individual grade classes also give a guest performance three times as part of major events.

In May 2020, the IDM Superbike 1000, the highest German class in road racing, will return to the traditional Sachsenring. After a six-year break, the Red Bull Ring in Austria is back on the IDM program.
